FROM PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Our school was started in the year 1976, by the Indian Missionary society’s pioneers in Odisha, has its long-standing moto love serve and sacrifice kept intact even after 45 years of uninterrupted service in this most backward district of Odisha, Malkangiri. Our school is recognized by the Government of Odisha and affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Our School runs by IMST charitable trust with the key ideas of “Indian money, Indian people and Indian management”. We are indeed grateful to Lord for his enabling grace upon this institution and for the continuous support on infrastructural development from the IMST.

Indeed, really our sincere thanks to Lord Jesus Christ who had protected our IMST family during this Covid-19 pandemic situation.

The academic year 2020-2021 was a challenging year from every side. Due to Covid 19, the School teaching model had been changed to online. In 2020-21, we have 1231 students enrolled in our school, and out of this 215 students are from Anwesha Hostels run by Odisha Government. While  85 students are staying in our IMST Hostel. We have a committed team of 51 teachings, 4 office, and non-teaching staff who are tirelessly working towards the betterment of our students and the institution.

In the latest (2019-20) class X CBSE exams 78 students appeared for the board exam and 74 students passed out while the other four are in compartments. Sourav Halder stood first with 92% of marks. This year 85 of our students are preparing for the 2021 CBSE exam.

So far in this year 2020-21, we had some significant memories like the mode of teaching turning to be online. Since many children from the surrounding village and Anwesha students are from the very interior village can’t attend online classes. we feel sorry that we are unable to reach them and steps have been taken to reach out to all the students in the academic year 2021-22

Our teachers underwent pieces of training for teaching online. Students were encouraged to bring out their excellence through online mode. It was challenging and encouraging for the students to accomplish with the new technologies. Even in online teaching our school strictly followed the frequently revised CBSE pattern with periodic tests and subject enrichment activities. A sufficient number of large-screen TVs are installed and a smart class facility is used to facilitate effective learning.

Our sincere thanks to the managing committee members, students, parents, staff as well as all the well – wishes of our school for their continuous support especially during this pandemic situation

We once again commit ourselves to serving this community through the students with love and sacrifice following the model of Jesus Christ.
